sad,bad day in the "Bay"

In my home town there was one of the worst ice storms ever yesterday and today it isn't much better I guess. My son said they finally cut this one down because it was too dangerous hanging over the road like it was. I'm working out of State so I won't see the town till it's cleaned up. Which will take some time I imagine. It's such a pity. It is a nice town. It seems like at least once a year we get a spring ice storm, but why this one. I'm so sad about it. There are towns near that are completely out of power and will be for the next 2 to 3 days. My little 3 year old grandson said he didn't want the trees to break anymore...... sad, sad, sad. Please keep this little town in your prayers that it will be even more beautiful than before when they get done putting it back together. I know it could be worse, but this is really sad.

gramma lylia

The grandmother of my children passed away last week. She was an true angel among us that's for sure. I was blessed to be her daughter in law for 11 years. And in the time after (my divorce) she never mad me feel that I was not a part of her family. She always welcomed me with open arms and never let me forget that she was thankful I was the mother of her grandchildren. It's hard to explain her closeness to the Lord Jesus Christ. Her relationship with him was as pure as anything I have ever known. She was the one I called if I wanted someone to pray for someone, it gave me comfort knowing she was the one doing so. She would never let you down. She never talked down on anyone. She was one of the kindest people I think I have ever met. She was the grandmother of 33 grandchildren she also had great grandchildren. She was just a beautiful lady. She will be missed very much by so very many people. I thought the world to her and loved her with all my heart.

For the birds........

look who visited my feeder a couple days ago, a pileated wood pecker. he had a companion with him also, but once the two of them were on the feeder, they both took off. so i only got a picture of the one. yesterday one came back again. they are huge birds! pretty neat looking. i enjoy feeding the birds, it's with them i form a friendship, seeing i'm not really a busy body to have lots of friends i hang with. i tend to spend more time watching my birds. family and birds. just seem to love them. do any of you feed the birds? i buy the chipped sunflower seeds for them. it doesn't leave the mess the black sunflower seeds do. i use to come home after working a job and have sunflower plants all over the front yard. they are a little more expensive, but they tend to clean it up pretty well. i like making peanut butter seed balls also for them. do any of you have any good bird food recipe's? (or pizza, bloody mary recipe's, lori?) if so i'd love to have them.

have a great sunday everyone and enjoy the brighter (longer) days, don't forget to change your clocks today!!
